© Reuters. Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.88% – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.88%, while the index gained 0.79%, and the index added 1.14%.

The best performers of the session on the were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:), which rose 3.82% or 2.100 points to trade at 57.060 at the close. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:) added 3.47% or 5.25 points to end at 156.75 and BASF SE NA O.N. (DE:) was up 3.46% or 1.920 points to 57.380 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:), which fell 3.27% or 3.22 points to trade at 95.30 at the close. Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:) declined 0.40% or 0.195 points to end at 48.955 and Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE:) was down 0.30% or 0.125 points to 41.060.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which rose 7.05% to 64.550, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) which was up 6.14% to settle at 8.190 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:) which gained 3.76% to close at 23.190.

The worst performers were Grenke N AG (DE:) which was down 3.75% to 39.02 in late trade, Rational AG (DE:) which lost 3.13% to settle at 696.50 and HelloFresh SE (DE:) which was down 2.37% to 45.24 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which rose 7.05% to 64.550, S&T AG (DE:) which was up 4.65% to settle at 19.12 and Drillisch AG (DE:) which gained 4.41% to close at 20.480.

The worst performers were Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:) which was down 2.84% to 71.800 in late trade, LPKF Laser & Electronics (DE:) which lost 1.88% to settle at 20.850 and Varta AG (DE:) which was down 1.40% to 112.900 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 447 to 218 and 82 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.03% to 25.25.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.18% or 3.40 to $1887.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.38% or 1.35 to hit $41.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.38% or 1.42 to trade at $43.41 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1753, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.9084.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.660.
