
Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 1.04% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:), which rose 7.23% or 217 points to trade at 3219 at the close. Meanwhile, Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:) added 2.86% or 570 points to end at 20490 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was up 2.73% or 43 points to 1617 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liveperson (TASE:), which fell 0.35% or 70 points to trade at 19970 at the close. Shufersal (TASE:) declined 0.04% or 1 points to end at 2500 and Nice Ltd (TASE:) was down 0.03% or 30 points to 91370.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 281 to 148 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $47.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $51.28 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 6.45 to trade at $1889.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.2150, while EUR/ILS rose 0.27% to 3.9497.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 89.677.
