Investing.com — GameStop Corp (NYSE:) and AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE:) aren’t the only hot stocks on Friday. Novavax Inc (NASDAQ:) jumped 65% after its Covid-19 vaccine candidate showed 89.3% effectiveness in a U.K. trial.
That compares to the 72% efficacy shown in a U.S. trial of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:)’s vaccine candidate. Shares of J&J fell 4.6%. J&J said its candidate showed less effectiveness in trials outside the U.S.
Still, the prospect of two more vaccines coming to market soon should be good news for markets in general, though they weren’t acting like it on Friday. The was down more than 600 points as of midday.
